NYC Mets Fans

NYC neighborhoods are divided by baseball allegiances And in terms of neighborhoods and ticket sales, NYC leans Mets

Mets a阿拉爱上海同城 爱上海龙凤419桑拿nd Yankees fans have a lot to disagree about, including neighborhoods. Fans of NYC’s two Major League teams live in very different places, according to an analysis of tickets sold to New Yorkers in each zip code between 2013 and 2015 via the online resa上海夜网 阿爱上海同城le marketplace Vivid Seats.

A large part of the division i上海夜网 阿爱上海同城s obvious: Queens residents tend to support their home team, while residents of the Bronx go Yankees.

But New Yorkers who call Brooklyn and Staten Island home are more likely to buy Mets tickets, according to the an上海龙凤论坛 新上海贵族宝贝论坛alysis cited by DNAinfo. However, there were two exceptions: Flatbush residents and Staten Islanders living on the island s East Side bought a lot of Yankees tickets.

Meanwhile in Manhattan, ticket buyers were almost evenly split. The northern half of the island tends to fill Yankees Stadium – minus an isolated bastion of Mets fans in Central Harlem. Midtown and Downtown residents were largely Mets fans, although Battery Park City and the Financial District skewed Yankees. [DNAinfo] –Christopher Cameron

Oldest NYC Land Records

New York City’s oldest land records disappear, landlords vow a tax protest, and more… This month in real estate history

The Hall of Records

1910: Oldest NYC land records go missing

Nearly two dozen of the “oldest and most valuable real estate records of old New York” were confirmed missing, the New York Times reported 107 years ago this month. The 23 books of English and Dutch records, which dated as far back as 1686, were lost when they were transferred from an older ar阿爱上海同城 阿拉爱上海同城chives building to the newly constructed Hall of Records at 31 Chambers Street in 1907. They included some of the earliest land transactions following the incorporation of the City of New York, along with marriage licenses, patents, passports and government commissions. The Times noted that “for years” there was no guard at the hall and that anyone could have taken the records. There was concern that landowners would not be able to retrieve original grants for properties or transfer records; however, similar records existed in other archives, such as the New York State Library, and earli阿爱上海同城 阿拉爱上海同城er that year, the state had passed a law that allowed the Register of New York County to re-index all records prior to 1891.

Queens multifamily investor Katz Realty Group is the latest real estate player to jump into the highly charged race for New York’s Attorney General.

A limited liability company affiliated with Katz donated $20,000 to an independent expenditure committee that las爱上海 爱上海同城手机版t week ran an ad urging Jewish voters to cast their ballots for Letitia James, Crain’s reported.

One Voice New York PAC posted a video to Twitter Sept. 6 that shows footage of anti-Semites from last year’s “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville, Va., according to Crain’s.

The video shows President Trump’s infamous reference to “very fine people on both sides” attending the event, where a young activist was killed. It also shows other remarks by Trump disparaging immigrants, as well as a man at a 2016 Trump rally chanting “Jew-S-A.”

The video then shows a speech by James vowing to defend marginalized communities and one of her Tweets reading, “In Trump’s America, bigots and racists are on the rise. In @TishJames’ New York, they are on the run!”

The Tweet also appears in a full-page ad that One Voice New York PAC took out in Jewish Week, urging readers to cast their vote for James in the Sept. 13 Democratic primary.
